The willow has long been regarded as representing healing, regeneration, and endurance. Many cultures have believed in its magical properties, and modern medicine has adapted the pain-relieving powers it contains. It is a symbol of the divine feminine, and is associated with awareness, wisdom, and intuition. Willows often grow on the banks of lakes and rivers, holding back erosion and protecting the flow of water. The long, delicate branches trail in the currents, creating ripples of change but never impeding the flow. The old and broken branches can be trimmed back for new growth to sprout again, and can even grow a whole, new tree from a single branch. To honor this symbol of hope and restoration, I chose the willow tree as the image for my practice, I invite you to join me here.     -

Who Do I Work With?

My name is Linnea G. Van Kirk, LMFT and I provide individual services to adults age 25 and older. The clinical focus of my practice is helping people recover from family dysfunction, religious or school abuse, and those living with chronic illnesses. I enjoy working with clients who are new to therapy, and those who have already had therapy but are seeking a deeper, more direct experience.

My services are designed to process adverse life experiences, re-work current relationships if needed, and help to establish healthier boundaries moving forward. If you are seeking to end a personal or family relationship, I can offer support through this painful process. If you have already had to separate, I can help you process this loss, and can also assist if you are seeking a healthy reunification.

No matter what life-path you are on, it is important that you are the one making the decisions for how to walk it. If you have felt like your life is not our own, or feel that others think they know you better than you know yourself, I can help you find your voice, rewrite your story, and chart your own path. Whether you are just beginning the journey of therapy, or looking to resume, I am here to help.
